## New

- **Relay break-before-make is now adjustable.** A new `relay_settle_ms`
  setting (default 50 ms, range 20–200) sets the mute gap around a
  non-MM/MC relay change, to tune out the small switching clicks on
  gain / load / HPF / MC-GND edits. Adjust it live from the console:
  `phono settle 80` (live), `phono settle` (show), then `save` to keep it.
  The MM↔MC switch keeps its own 100 ms / 1000 ms anti-pop timing.

## Changed (per user testing and feedback)

- **Display defaults to OFF.** A fresh unit now starts with the display
  off — it lights while you're interacting and blanks after the idle
  timeout. (Existing units keep their chosen brightness.)
- **More intuitive knob navigation.** The RIGHT knob now does all
  navigation and adjustment (rotate to move through the menu / change a
  value, press to select / confirm). The LEFT knob is now purely back and
  power: quick-press = power-on when off, or back when on; press-and-hold =
  power-off.
- **Cleaner adjust screen.** Removed the small header/footer hint labels
  (the setting name and "ROTATE TO ADJUST") — the value-adjust screen now
  shows just the value.

Carries forward the MM↔MC anti-pop fix from build 147.
