# Canta Phonostage — development build

First build published to the update channel. This is the baseline for
over-the-air-style updates during early development; detailed patch notes
begin with the next release.

Highlights of the current firmware state:

- Phonostage UI with dot-grid VU idle animation, brightness and fader controls.
- USB protocol v2 (settings, streams, structured command runner).
- Bootloader: LCD update progress bar and USB drag-and-drop update mode
  (hold both knobs at power-on → device appears as a USB drive → drop the
  `.frm` file on it).
